Procedures

Create a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Lay person on either side with head on small pillow.
Place one towel on the pillow and one to cover hair and neck to protect from possible wax drip.
Light wide end of the cone and wait until smoke spirals out the small end.
Gently place small end of candle in ear canal. Angle the cone away from the face. Adjust cone to create a good seal. No smoke should escape out around the seal.
Let the wide end burn down about 1-2 inches. Remove from ear. Cut entire burnt section into bowl of water. Turn upside down and tap with scissors to remove the debris. Use wooden skewer to remove any excess debris in cone.
Relight the cone. Return to ear and seal again. Repeat until 3-4 inches of cone remain.
Turn person over and follow above procedure on second ear.
Clean out the ear with Q-tip dipped in oil. Gently swab only what you can see of the ear canal. If one ear still feels plugged, you can use another cone.
